Openchurch is a community of people committed to loving God, loving life and meeting real needs in a real world. We are passionate about a genuine relationship with God, bible teaching, life giving worship and loving our neighbors as ourselves not just on Sundays, but all throughout the week.

Our mission is simply to equip people to live the ‘God first life’, a life spent loving God while making a difference in the lives of others.

Over the past few years, God has led Elise and I on a journey around the world. We’ve had the amazing opportunity to be pastors at the Los Angeles Dream Center and part of the staff at Hillsong Church in Sydney. Through this journey, God has planted a dream in our hearts to lead a church in Ventura County. A church without pretense, a church without judgment, a church with a living God who loves us and wants the best for us. We desire to build a church that is home for you, your family and your friends, a place where you can build great relationships and discover God’s purpose for your life.

We know God’s heart is to reach people, to care for people, and to have an intimate relationship with every one of us. We believe that God’s heart is best expressed through life-giving relationships in the local church.

We would love for you to join us on this journey. We need people to pray, to partner, and to get involved at all levels as we chase God’s dream for this region.
