1. Prayer

We are completely dependent upon God to act and move in this area. We need for you to pray for us and for the city! This is the most vital need. We believe that this must be a foundation stone of our ministry.

2. Relationships

We are excited about establishing a church in Ventura County, and building friendships and relationships as a part of that. Ventura County has some amazing people and we can’t wait to get to know them in order to love them and invite them to join us on our journey with God. We would love for you to come and help us connect with Ventura County through our different volunteer opportunity.

3. Budget Needs

Concerning our budget, we are looking for churches, individuals and organizations to commit to helping us achieve our 2009 Budget, with a one time donation or monthly support. One area we particularly believe God’s provision for, is support for some of our full time volunteers.

4. Volunteers

If you are breathing, you are qualified to enlist in God’s volunteer army. We need your help as we do the work of the ministry.

5. Computers and Software

OpenChurch wants to open a computer lab,  that will be used to host ELS, Adult Education, GED, Spanish language classes, after school tutoring, Rosette Stone language classes, Job search days and everything else.

The only thing we need is 10 computers (nothing fancy just working computers) and a few dollars for set up (software, networking, etc…). If you know how to make this happen, now is your chance? Maybe you know someone you knows how?

 6. A Bus

 The sad fact is that often a few miles or rising gas prices can be the barrier that keeps a family from attending church. OpenChurch wants to break down all barriers and make our church very easy to get to. We need a fully operational and registered bus,  to shuttle the people of Ventura County to the life giving message of Christ.

7. Gas

The Church must continue to reach people despite the rising cost of gas. Help off set our fuel costs by donating a pre-paid fuel card to gas our trucks for the work of the ministry.

8. Spread the word

We need your voice, if you know someone who is looking for a dynamic church in Ventura County or a place to volunteer or donate, please tell them about OpenChurch and all God is doing in our world.

9. Your Skills and expertise

As amazing as the OpenChurch team is, we don’t have all the skills, expertise and time needed to do all God has laid out for us. We need you! Every one of us has something that God has giving us, a unique talent, something we do well. OpenChurch is a place you can lend your skills. From lawyers to plumbers we have a place for you.

10. You!
